Product guide / FounderFin

what-if scenarios on your real numbers

Test the plan against the numbers.

FounderFin connects current metrics, consolidation, and deterministic scenarios so you can understand the plan, test a decision, and carry the result into the next board conversation.

Where this helps

Plans get defended long after their assumptions stop holding, because re-running the model costs more than repeating the number.

The question it puts in front of you

What happens to the plan if we actually do this?

Where judgment belongs

You choose the assumptions, and you decide what the result means for the plan.

What gets prepared for you

A deterministic engine computes the scenario from canonical metrics and consolidation data. No number in the output was invented.

Numbers & communication

How a decision gets tested.

01

Review a profile-aware financial overview and the signals that need attention.

02

Compare actual, budget, forecast, and variance in the consolidated P&L.

03

Test assumptions with deterministic scenarios and before-and-after results.

04

Export the right working file from the view that owns it.

FounderFin in the real world

The what-if that reaches the board with its arithmetic intact.

FounderFin brings together three substantive experiences: the Financials Overview, the Consolidation P&L, and Scenario Studio. Modeling adds a conversational baseline and what-if exploration. Company type and stage influence which metrics and drivers appear.

Scenarios are grounded in canonical metrics and consolidation data, computed by a deterministic engine. They are not unreviewable AI numbers — which is the only reason they belong in a board pack.

What holds up

What it does well, and what it was never meant to do.

Constraints are a design position, not an apology. Everything on the left ships today; everything on the right we decided against.

What you can rely on in FounderFin

  • Export the consolidation as CSV, JSON, or PDF.
  • Export a scenario as an Excel workbook with its formulas intact.
  • Carry the figures into a Report or a Deck.

What we chose not to build

  • FounderFin is not an accounting or ERP replacement.
  • It is not yet a complete 12-to-36-month driver-model builder.
  • Modeling itself does not export Excel — Scenario Studio does.
  • “Real-time” is only claimed with a named connected source and its freshness.

Outputs & exports

Consolidation as CSV, JSON, or PDF · Scenario forecast workbook as XLSX
